What a surprise this reveal was. Keanu Reeves will star in CD Projekt Red’s new IP Cyberpunk 2077. This game has been teased for so long and it finally looks like we have a release date of April 16th, 2020. The cinematic looks fantastic and if other projects the company has made (The Witcher series) are any indication, we’re in for a great experience. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts. Also, stay tuned to ETG this week for all the E3 updates.

Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay

E3 2019 has given us our first look at gameplay for Fallen Order, the upcoming Star Wars game from Respawn. Hopefully this will be the Star Wars game that Battlefront 2 should have been. The story looks to include Saw Guerrara and probably several other notable character from Star Wars lore. The gamplay looks smooth and fast paced. I am reminded of the Force Unleashed watching the game in motion. Check out the videos below and leave us a comment with your thoughts. Also, stay tuned to ETG this week for all the latest updates.

Well, it’s that time of year again. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is in full swing and with it a whole slew of new trailers to enjoy. The night before the event began Square Enix held a music of Final Fantasy concert and revealed the much anticipated release date for their upcoming FF7 Remake. The game will release on March 3rd, 2020 and I personally can’t wait. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts. Stay tuned to ETG this week for all the latest updates.

Death Stranding Comes Home

While initial rumors suggested that Kojima Productions first project would launch on next gen hardware, it is confirmed that the game will release for Playstation 4 on November 8th. This announcement comes with an eight minute cinematic / gameplay trailer for the project. While a lot of new information is gained we still understand very little about this game. Even so, it still looks to be a unique cinematic experience that will surely reinforce the idea that Konami made a huge mistake alienating and parting ways with Kojima. The trailer definitely feels like a movie teaser, and not just because it has A-list celebs like Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen among its cast. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts, and stay tuned to ETG for all the updates.

The Saga of the Swamp Thing

DC Universe has released a full trailer for it’s upcoming Swamp Thing streaming show, and honestly it looks pretty fantastic. Horror seems to be the theme of this show as the trailer looks creepy as hell. It seems as if they are referencing Alan Moore’s Saga of the Swamp Thing run, but I definitely feel as if the disease afflicting the town is the Rot which came from the New 52 run. Either way, the horror vibe works best for Swamp Thing and will most likely lead to some dark material. We will know for sure when Swamp Thing debuts on DC Universe this Friday May 31st. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts.

The final season of Jessica Jones, and the final Marvel Netflix show left standing, has a release date and a new teaser to go along with it. While it is very short it does seemingly confirm Jessica will be dealing with another psychopath that claims she is a fraud. Is this another figure from her past coming back to haunt her, or a new threat entirely. We won’t have to wait long to find out as the final season arrives on Netflix on June 14th. Check out the announcement teaser below and leave us a comment with your thoughts.

Star Trek: Picard Teaser Trailer

CBS has given us a small tease of what’s to come with their upcoming Picard series, and if you’re like me the teaser is not enough. It actually gives away very little information about the series. We see Jean-Luc back home at his family’s winery while someone asks why he left Starfleet behind 15 years ago. In my opinion Picard is by far the best captain to ever lead the Enterprise and I am stoked to see what he has been up to. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts. Also, stay tuned to ETG for all the latest on this new chapter in the ongoing saga that is Star Trek.

Just about a month ahead of this years E3 convention, Square Enix has released a new teaser trailer for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. We get a good look at some early game footage of Aerith meeting Cloud for the first time and some new game play footage. It still looks like the Final Fantasy 15 combat engine will be the basis for the remakes combat, which is fine as 15 was a blast to play. The trailer also tells us that we should expect more information in June, which just happens to coincide with E3. Hopefully we will finally get a release date for this fantastic looking remake. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts.

R.I.P. Peter Mayhew

Peter Mayhew with long time onscreen partner Harrison Ford.

The great Peter Mayhew, who was the man behind Chewbacca, has passed away at the age of 74. The actor died Tuesday in his North Texas home with his family by his side. Mayhew captured our hearts as the lovable Wookie, whom he played in almost every Star Wars film to date as well as specials and various public appearances. Along with Carrie Fisher, we have now lost two of the original Star Wars cast members. We will miss them both forever but the impression they made will never be far from fans hearts. During a Kingdom Hearts orchestral performance Tetsuya Nomura announced DLC for the third game that essentially serves as a final mix of the game. This content will include a new scenario called ReMIND and will also feature new bosses, a secret episode and a secret boss. Apparently, in addition to paid content, Square will also offer a free Keyblade and a new form for players to enjoy. This announcement comes just a week after Critical Mode was added to the game offering a new challenge to the game that many players felt Proud Mode was lacking. A release date has not been announced but we will keep you updated on this situation as it develops.

Dark Phoenix Final Trailer

Today, Fox has dropped what looks to be the final theatrical trailer for Dark Phoenix. This will be the final entry in the Fox X-Men universe and it looks like it will end with a bang. The shooting and release schedule of this movie has been quite tumultuous. It remains to be seen whether this film will be a fitting end to the X-Men saga. Trailers can be deceiving, but nonetheless this trailer looks fantastic. We will have to wait until June 7th to find out. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts.

We’re in the final days of Star Wars Celebration in Chicago and we have a new look at the seventh season of Star Wars: Clone Wars. This season will debut on Disney+ this November and looks to fill in the missing time between Ahsoka leaving the Jedi order and facing Darth Vader in Rebels. The sixth season that debuted on Netflix focused more on Yoda and the Sith Darth Bane. It will be great to finally get some closure for Ahsoka’s story. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts and check out the rest of the weekends schedule of events here. Stay tuned to ETG for more updates.

Jedi: Fallen Order

Today at Celebration we got our first good look at EA and Respawn’s new Star Wars game Jedi: Fallen Order. EA definitely has a chance to redeem themselves from the backlash over Battlefront 2 with this game. The game looks fantastic and for me it hearkens back to The Force Unleashed. It looks to be a return to the action adventure genre that Star Wars did so well with those games. As a former Padawan, you must learn to live in the post Order 66 galaxy and form a new life. It looks like the Empire and the Inquisitors aren’t going to make that easy for you. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts. Keep up with the Celebration schedule here and stay tuned to ETG for all the latest updates.

Have you ever wanted to walk the streets of Mos Eisley or tour the Millennium Falcon? Well, now you can thanks to Galaxy’s Edge, a new exhibit at both Disney Land and Disney World. Today at Celebration we got a great look at what these new additions to the parks will entail. If you needed any more reason to go to the magical place, Galaxy’s Edge will definitely be a draw. The new attractions will open in California in May and Florida in August. Check out the footage below and leave us a comment with your thoughts. You can keep up to date with the Star Wars Celebration schedule of events here. Stay tuned to ETG for all the latest.

Vader Immortal

The celebration continues with our best look yet at Vader Immortal, an episodic Star Wars VR experience, from ILMxLAB for Oculus Quest and Rift headsets. The VR revolution has changed the way we see and play games. Vader Immortal lets you take control of a lightsaber in a way few other games can match. The game looks fantastic and it’s definitely a great reason to buy an Oculus headset. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts. If your curious what else to expect this weekend from the celebration, check out the schedule here. Also, stay tuned to ETG for all the Star Wars Celebration updates.

The Rise of Skywalker

The first trailer for Star Wars Episode IX has finally dropped thanks to Celebration in Chicago. The teaser looks great and will reunite our favorite characters, new and old, for one last adventure together. Speaking of old characters, we see the triumphant return of Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian. The most intriguing, or dare I say confusing, part of the trailer seems to be the voice over of Emperor Palpatine near the end of the trailer. Did he cheat death? We will have to wait until December 20th to find out. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts. You can also check out the full schedule of events for Star Wars Celebration here, and stay tuned to ETG for all the latest updates.

Joker Teaser Trailer

Today, Warner Bros. has given us our first look at Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. At this point I’m not really sure how to feel about this one. It looks like it will be a haunting look into the psyche of the creepy clown. The creepiness only goes up once you hear him laugh. We are going to be watching Arthur, the Joker, slowly descend into madness and become the force of nature we know and love from the comics. However, at this point, I’m still not sure what to expect from this one. Check out the trailer below and let us know how you feel. Joker hits theaters on October 4th.

Batman Vs. TMNT Trailer

We finally have a trailer for the upcoming DC animated feature, Batman Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This movie, based on the DC/IDW crossover by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II, unites two stories that couldn’t be more different. The comic was fantastic and the movie looks like it will be just as fun. The standout moments from the trailer show some amazing fights between Batman, the Turtles, Ra’s al Ghul and Shredder. The animation looks spectacular and the voices sound perfect. I really can’t wait for this one. Batman Vs. TMNT will be available on digital May 14th and Blu-Ray/DVD on June 4th from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts.

Today, we have what will likely be our last look at Avengers Endgame before its release on April 26th. In this special look we finally see Cap reunite with Iron Man, the Avengers assembling and the team confronting Thanos. This short look gives away more than any trailer before it even though it’s a minute shorter than the other teasers we’ve seen. Marvel really knows how to build anticipation and they crashed the Fandango servers when the tickets went on sale this morning. Get yours while you still can. Here is a link to the Fandango page. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts.
