Netflix and some of the funniest comedic actors working today reunite once again. Right after the remix of season 4 premiered, the Bluth family is back to tie up a big loose end from season 4, the death of Lucille Austero. All the Bluths had motive to take out Lucille 2, but who did the deed. Season 5 aims to answer this question when it premieres on May 29th. Universal has released the final trailer for the upcoming sequel to Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom. This new series just proves that we humans never learn from our mistakes. These films take place in the same world as the originals and we are going to watch it all fall apart again. That being said, I personally love watching dinosaurs fight and eat people. Thanos: Titan Consumed

Jason O’Toole

In addition to the origin of Thanos we will see in Avengers Infinity War, an upcoming novel from publisher Little, Brown and Company and author Barry Lyga will further explore the Mad Titan’s backstory. While this will not tie in officially with the movies, it should still be an interesting story for fans of the MCU. It definitely seems like Thanos’ origin story will be tweaked a bit when compared to his comic counterpart. This novel could give us some more insight into those changes. It seems like it will be worth a look. Here is a summary from the publisher.

Space. Reality. Mind. Power. Time. Soul.

Before creation itself, there were six singularities. Then the universe exploded into existence, and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots…

Infinity Stones.

Only beings of immense power can hope to wield these stones, but for those who are worthy, the powers of a god await.

Thanos is one such being. But he wasn’t always.

Born on a doomed world and cast out by his people for his genius, physical deviancy, and pragmatic but monstrous ideas, Thanos is determined to save the galaxy from the same fate as his homeworld… no matter how many billions have to die.

Learn the origins of the most formidable foe the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther have ever faced—a foe whom even a group of remarkable people, pulled together to fight the battles nobody else could, will fail to stop….

Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives.

Thanos is here.

Incredibles 2 Theatrical Trailer

Jason O’Toole

A full theatrical trailer for Fantastic Four…..I mean Incredibles 2 has made its way online. This movie looks like it will top the original film in every way. Putting the focus on Elastigirl this time around, it’s down to Mr. Incredible to take care of the house and the kids. This will likely lead to some hilarity, as the trailer implies, before they all team up to save the day for the finale. Pixar has said some new supers will be introduced, and old favorites like Frozone will return. Check out the trailer below and leave us a comment with your thoughts.

A full theatrical trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story has been released. Many have speculated that this will be the first Star Wars movie that will fail to live up to the hype. We will have to wait until May 25th to find out. However, if this trailer is any indication, I would say we are in for a fun adventure that will give us some much needed backstory on our favorite scoundrel. Marvel’s First Family Returns

Jason O’Toole

The last time the Fantastic Four graced the pages of a comic was during the 2015 Secret Wars crossover. Many speculated that because the movie rights to FF and X-Men were owned by Twentieth Century Fox, Marvel Comics was not going to help their competitors with books. Although, this does not explain the 7+ x-books currently in print. It looks like we can finally put that theory to bed as Marvel is bringing back the first family. We wondered what Dan Slott would be up to after ending his decade long run writing Amazing Spider-Man, well now we know. Slott will be joined by Spider-Man artist Sara Pichelli as they craft a new monthly take on Marvel’s oldest franchise.

Spinning out of the excellent event series Dark Nights: Metal, Scott Snyder will take on Justice League. Later this year, DC Comics will relaunch their flagship series to be more in line with what Metal has changed. Joining Snyder on this series will be artist Jim Cheung, whose work for Marvel has been some of the best the publisher has brought us. Snyder has proved his mettle as a Batman writer. Those talents, along with what is sure to be some fantastic art by Cheung, will surely work well now that he gets to take on the whole team. The lineup looks great as well. Joining Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman will be Flash, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern John Stewart and Cyborg. Leave us a comment with your thoughts.

Jessica Jones season 2 airs this Friday, and yet Netflix is already teasing their next show, season 2 of Luke Cage. Even though it’s a short teaser it looks like the next season will be just as action packed as the first. In the first series Luke was still trying to hide from his past. It seems as though that will change for the next series, as he seems to be embracing his role in things. June 22nd can’t get here soon enough.
