(ETG 21) What's going on?

We took a couple of weeks off and instead of just calling each other and chatting for a bit, we sat down in front of microphones together. You know? With video games and Dungeons & Dragons to keep us busy we didn't have any shortage of things to talk about.

Thank you for taking the time to hang out.

(ETG 19) Tears of the Kingdum dum dum

Over the years The Legend of Zelda franchise has been a mainstay among basically anyone who plays Nintendo. When the truly open Breath of the Wild was released, it added so much to a series that means so much to so many. Well, the folks at Nintendo have released some gameplay for the follow-up game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and it would seem that the brilliant peeps who developed it, took that which we love about Breath of the Wild and so much more. This is our reaction.

(ETG 18) The Last of Us Series Review

Years ago, the video game publisher Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment, introduced gamers to The Last of Us. Gamers loved the characters, the world and well, the game, but the rest of the world hadn't got to experience this compelling dystopian horror drama. That is until the series landed on HBO Max. This is us reviewing it the way that only we can.

(ETG 17) The Marvel Ultimate Universe Returns

Years ago there was an analogy between smashing two pizzas together and two worlds colliding. We have referenced it here several times because of how awful it was, but those pizzas are being remade as the great chef, Marvel has decided we deserve to enjoy more than one pie. Here Jason takes us through a timeline of the original Marvel Ultimate series of comics and we speculate as to what the future holds for its many characters.

(ETG 16) Do You Dew

We were again joined by Level 1 Judge, Kevin Freeman, in another odd but very geeky undertaking. We sample 15 different flavors of Mountain Dew; some seasonal some were from far off lands, and a few left us gagging... Thank you for taking the time to hang out.

(ETG 15) The Comic Pipeline

Being the nerdy bunch that we are, in the current day and age, we are never at a shortage of fun things to chat about. While comics are a mainstay, we don't always have the ability to peer into the future, except if you know an insider... We share the information about what a few publishers have in the works for the foreseeable future. The heavy hitters have very different ways of teasing what they see in their crystal balls. Marvel delivering a cryptic message, like that of an oracle, and DC like a crier in the town square.

(ETG 14) Antman and the Wasp Quantumania Review

We break down Marvel Studios Antman and The Wasp Quantumania, staring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Kathryn Newton, Michael Douglas, Jonathan Majors, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Has the multiverse been good to us moviegoers or what? This episode is packed full of spoilers, so watch the flick before listening to us.

(ETG 13) James Gunn, god of monsters?

Something that isn't news to anyone is that James Gunn is the CEO and Supreme Leader and head creative at DC Studios. He knocked Suicide Squad 2 and Peacemaker out of the park and is now set to steer the ship for Warner Brothers. We are simply reviewing the list that Mr. Gunn was kind enough to put out there and giving some comentary on the upcoming projects.

(ETG 10) Tales from the Table with The Short Nord

Mike O'Neal AKA The Short Nord returns!

While playing any roleplaying game, you create some great " war stories" or maybe they are just "big fish" tales, whatever the case, Mike came to share some of his Tales from the Table. One of the things that we spent a lot of time on is what makes a Dungeon Master tick, and how to take corrective action as a tabletop gamer.

(ETG 8) Implementation of Comic Book Morality in Life

Chris and Jason explore something touched on in a previous episode, and attempt to flesh out what it means to embody that which we see in comic books. From story arcs that make us question how we treat others, to powerful imagery that evokes inspiration, these books are, for some of us, a moral compass that points us to our true north.

(ETG 5) Nerd Rage

In a world of imagination and excitement, we find a way to get pissed off. Well, some of us more than others and sometimes the anger is premature or aimed at the wrong thing entirely. Star Wars, Captain America, He-Man and so many more nerdy things can trigger the rage. Jason O'Tool stands at the front line, wearing a nametag and slinging paper, as a comic shop worker.

(ETG 4) Playing Scary Games with Matt

Matt Craig from the podcast Netsurfer Pro, is an avid gamer and brilliant game designer. Seeing as Halloween is close and horror is always cool, we dicided to talk horror games. We took a stab at identifying elements that make for a great horror themed game. Listeners, do you have any horror themed games that you love? (ETG 3) Jason proves that not all heroes wear capes

Years ago, when Entertain the Geeky was in its infancy, we thought we had the ability to deliver news. We were wrong. There was one man, a man called Jason, friend of all nerds. All information geek seems to flow to him, and his passion and knowledge are a great well from which we can all draw. So, Jason O'Tool came to hang out and introduce himself to all of us since it has been so very long. We talk Marvel, comics and the MCU. We go over roleplaying games and video games. Jason lets us know he is stoked for God of War Ragnarok, so stoked that he is taking time off to enjoy the game at launch.

(ETG 2) The Chip

Level 1 judge Kevin Freeman came to get geeky, sweaty and a little miserable while talking Magic the Gathering. Kevin reached out, and asked Chris to do the Paqui one chip challenge while recording. Forgive the spotty audio, there was a lot of standing up and sitting down, while taking sips of drinks, and trying to talk MTG. We did discuss spikes in Commander staple prices as well as the online player surge that the pandemic brought on.

As always, stay geeky!
